JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Total Rewards Program Manager you will support total rewards programs by managing leave programs, deferred compensation plans, the Port’s ACA reporting, the Port’s EAP.  You will also participate in compensation and healthcare administration, help develop new programs, and research regulatory changes and new total rewards possibilities.

  • You will serve as the team’s expert on and participate in managing the Port’s leave programs (including FMLA, ADA medical leaves, and Port specific programs), update policies as needed and ensure contracts are in place for third-party vendors.
  • You will manage the relationships with the Port’s leave eligibility, EAP, and deferred comp vendors and ensure contract documents procured timely and are up to date.
  • You will ensure these, and other programs are running smoothly and share status and other updates with other Total Rewards Program Managers, the Total Rewards Director, and other HR Leadership staff as requested.
  • You will offer program support that includes working with the Compensation team to market price and assign jobs to pay ranges and with the Benefits team to ensure that the Port maintains a  “better than market” benefits program to support attraction and retention of employees.
  • You will actively participate in and often lead Total Reward projects of varying sizes.
  • You will monitor regulatory changes at local, state, and federal levels for impacts on the total rewards programs and provide information about potential changes and impacts to the Total Rewards Director.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experienced - You have five (5) years of progressively responsible total rewards experience that includes researching and analyzing total rewards data and administering a variety of total rewards programs.
  • Educated - You possess a high school diploma.
  • Desired - We hope you have a Bachelor’s Degree in HR, or course work related to job responsibilities. We also hope you have a CCP, CBP, CEBS, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or other total rewards/HR certification.

  • Tech Savvy - You have strong skills in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications, and able to utilize technology applications to analyze and present data from other Port of Seattle systems.

WHAT ELSE YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • Work Schedule - Your normal work schedule will be Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (40 hours per week).
  • Work Environment - This work will take place in a hybrid remote/in-office setting at management’s discretion.
  • Washington State Residency Requirement - Employees must establish a residence in Washington state within 30 days of their first day of employment and must maintain a residence in Washington State during their employment with the Port of Seattle. If a position is eligible to telework, work performed while teleworking must be performed in Washington State.
