The Department of Human Resources (DHR) is a newly created department as of September 2018. The creation of the department was in response to support departments at an enterprise-wide level as they continue to provide critical services to the growing population of King County. DHR is committed and focused on carrying out the mission of the Investing in YOU strategy to build a workplace where all employees have the tools, support, and opportunity to do their best work.
As a part of its creation DHR has focused its expansive work into three divisions:

  • Career & Culture Division - focused on employee engagement and development
  • HR Service Delivery Division – focused on compensation, classification, talent acquisition and contracted services
  • Employee Health & Safety – focused on safety, claims, and benefits

DHR is seeking well-qualified candidates with senior-level of experience within these specialties to lead the work of the divisions.
