Job Details

Assist in the administration and maintenance of compensation programs for seagoing employees.

Responsibilities: 

  • Act as first point of contact regarding wage questions from seagoing employees. Provide standard responses as directed, escalating the questions when necessary.
  • Utilize a strong attention to detail to extract employee information from multiple HRIS systems.  Perform regular audits to ensure employee data is represented accurately in all systems.  Assist in special projects related to system transitions, performing data entry and information audits as requested.
  • Collect information for year-end processes and prepare materials for management review/analysis.  Assist in calculating performance-related increases, annual wage reconciliations, and bonus payout amounts.
  • Support and maintain compensation policies/procedures, using knowledge of legal compliance regarding compensation practices. 
  • Perform other duties as required.

 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related degree, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1-2 years of related Human Resources or Compensation experience
  • Enthusiastic, quick-learner, eager to meet challenges and quickly assimilate new concepts
  • Exceptional customer service skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions.
  • Must be skilled in use of Excel or similar analytical tool.
  • Must be able to handle multiple projects/tasks simultaneously while meeting deadlines.  Is flexible as priorities change quickly.
