Position Summary

The Compensation Support Analyst role is a crucial role in Slalom’s internal Human Resources department that will support the administration and development of the global compensation programs at Slalom. This role will support our Senior Manager, Compensation and two Senior Compensation Analysts in keeping Slalom highly tuned-in to areas of emerging legislation, researching the latest trends, and looking at new ways of administering and delivering compensation. Key job functions include assisting with quarterly and annual compensation cycles, participating in compensation surveys, analyzing our competitive market position, evaluating new or revised job descriptions to determine appropriate salary range, and working closely with the Compensation Accounting Team, HR Business Partners, Payroll, and our individual Slalom market locations.

You should possess the ability to understand and analyze our complex data and be highly detailed and able to effectively communicate with the clients we support. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Supports global compensation-related activities, including the annual compensation review process, base pay, formal bonus, and spot bonus programs in Workday
  • Partners with the business, HR, and management to understand compensation needs that will enable success
  • Works closely with Compensation Accounting, Compensation (HR), and Workday teams
  • Runs reports to research and resolve discrepancies 
  • Routinely audits and reviews processes, works with HR team to ensure consistency in application, and recommends improvements to compensation administrative processes
  • Assists in the participation in annual salary surveys
  • Works with Compensation team on Workday compensation cycle process review and process improvement
  • Ensures Slalom’s compliance with federal and state laws governing compensation practices
  • Partners with HR on global compensation issues

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including experience and high aptitude with pivot tables, vlookups, and nested formulas
  • Strong attention to detail with high degree of accuracy and ability to multi-task
  • Workday experience highly desired
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, problem solving, planning, and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment and provide a high level of customer service


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, HR management, finance, or a related area of study desired
  • 2+ years of compensation experience with a working knowledge of core compensation terminology and standard methodologies
  • Knowledge of and experience with high tech/consulting industry desired
