Position Summary:
The Compensation Specialist provides point of contact for employees, and ensures employees receive the highest quality of service by recognizing individual needs, and by putting them first in the transactions.  Accesses various media to respond to employee compensation related concerns, including questions via AskHP, email, telephony, and hard copy.   Responsible for providing salary offers for union and staff level positions.  For Providers, receives/scans reviews and processes employee information received from provider services, Total Rewards and management.  Manages and scans certifications and immigration documents.  Checks for completeness and accuracy prior to scanning and entering into HRIS.   Resolves discrepancies as needed.  Tracks all activity in the Employee Resource Center (ERC), routes and/or escalates issues appropriately. Work situations are varied and require an exceptional service-oriented individual, who has solid organization skills and high attention to detail.  Relates well to all kinds of people, and has effective conflict management skills.

Minimum Requirements:
Four (4) years experience in a Human Resources department, preferably with compensation, benefits or employee data management.
Experience with computer software applications
Health care environment experience preferred

Associates degree in business or office management preferred
